Upon successful completion of the program, students will earn certifications in both CBRF and CNA, qualifying them for employment in various healthcare settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and hospitals.

  • Possession of a GED or High School Diploma
  • Documentation of flu vaccination
  • Negative TB test result
  • For pregnant students: Submission of documentation from a physician affirming no medical or physical restrictions, including lift restrictions, that would hinder participation in class and clinical tasks. This release must be on file before the first day of class.
  • Commitment to maintaining a drug and alcohol-free status during class and clinical sessions.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Pass a criminal background check.
  • Provide proof of immunizations and a physical exam.
  • Wear nursing scrubs of any color and pattern.
  • Utilize nursing shoes (e.g., Crocs, tennis shoes, any closed-toe shoe).
  • Wear a watch with a second hand.
  • Socks are required every day.
  • Keep hair pulled back.
  • Maintain short, unpolished nails with no fake nails.
  • No head wares
  • Mandatory attendance and active participation.
  • Complete the program within the 6-week timeframe.

Important Note:

The clinical schedule for this course is designed to meet the minimum required hours, and thus, absences are not permitted. Should an emergency arise, students are expected to contact the instructor before missing any scheduled shifts. While efforts will be made to accommodate make-up hours, their availability is subject to instructor availability and program resources. Valid reasons for missing skills class or clinical sessions include (verifiable) family emergencies and illness. Failure to notify the instructor of an absence may result in failure or dismissal from the program.
