Standard Precaution


This class identifies what diseases in the community can be spread from person to person, and instructs how to prevent these diseases from being spread. It is an interactive class that teaches the best standards to prevent illness caused by communicable diseases. Training must be completed in order to meet the training requirements per DHS 83. Proper use of personal protective equipment needed to prevent the transmission of blood-borne pathogens and other communicable diseases. Proper procedures for handling infectious materials. Standards for handling food and laundry.
